Winter Solstice, Yuletide or Yule Sabbat, celebrates the shortest day of the year and the longest night. It begins on Mother Night and ends twelve days later on Yule Night, hence the “Twelve Days of Christmas” tradition.
A Solar Festival is celebrated by fire, burning the Yule Log, and the lighting of many candles. Yule is a time of the Goddess of the Cold Darkness and the birth of the Divine Child, the reborn Sun God. It is a time of renewal and rebirth during Winter, and the turning of the Earth force tides. Red candles are used to symbolize the fire and heat of the returning sun as the days begin to lengthen.
Winter Solstice Fusion Candles are saturated with traditional fragrances of pine, cedar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, ginger and hot apple cider. This wonderfully luxurious, smoky blend is perfect for Yuletide celebrations, and adds a warm festive fragrance to your home during dark winter and holiday season. The color is a deep green topped with deep red.
Sizes: 2x3 (45 hours) or 3x4 (85 hours)
The longer a candle is burned, the more life you will get out of it so burn it all night long, supervised of course! Never leave burning candles unattended and keep away from children and familiars.
